Schurter SMT Microminiature Tactile Switch
SCHURTER has launched the TCS43 microminiature SMT tactile switch, designed for space‑constrained, high‑performance electronic applications. With a footprint of just 4.2 × 3.2 mm and a 2.5 mm low‑profile design, the TCS43 delivers reliable operation without compromising PCB layout efficiency
Key Features
- Ultra‑compact SMT tactile switch
- Footprint: 4.2 × 3.2 mm, height: 2.5 mm
- Three actuation forces: 180 gf, 250 gf, 400 gf
- Mechanical lifetime up to 100,000 cycles
- Low power operation: 10 µA to 50 mA, 1–12 VDC
- Operating temperature: −40 °C to +90 °C
- Suitable for consumer and medical applications
The TCS43 is a microminiature SMT tactile switch developed for applications requiring compact size, durability, and consistent tactile response. Its low profile and small footprint enable space‑efficient PCB designs, making it ideal for modern electronics where board real estate is at a premium.
With three actuation force options available, designers can tailor the tactile feel to suit the end application. A mechanical lifetime of up to 100,000 cycles ensures reliable long‑term performance, while low contact resistance (≤100 mΩ) supports stable signal integrity in low‑power designs.
The TCS43 operates reliably across a wide temperature range from −40 °C to +90 °C, supporting use in demanding environments such as medical devices and smart home systems
Typical Applications
- Home automation controls
- Medical & mobile medical devices (blood pressure monitors, ventilators)
- Iot devices
- Remote controls
- User interfaces (on/off switching, menu navigation, parameter selection)
